Teaching cases are always built around a challenging scenario or problematic situation. They reflect the learning objectives that are aimed to be achieved by the students through analyzing and solving them. However, case problems often contain a wealth of information and complex stakeholder relationships, and the ability to make sense of those relationships and relevant information to think critically and make informed decisions is key to problem solving. The use of visualization tools and software facilitates understanding and decision making by presenting the information in a clearer and more comprehensive way.
