Consider sectoral specificities

A realistic case is good, but it is even better if you manage to make it authentic. Try to design a case that is not too special or niche (even if it may be particularly exciting), nor choose a case outside the learners' imagination and reality.

To make a case consistent, realistic, and authentic, add sectoral specifics. When identifying the case situation, the characteristics, practices and challenges within the used sector or industry should be integrated to ground the case in real-life. This type of sectoral specifics create connection between theory and practice and help keeping the storyline consistent, and make the learners resonate with their own experiences.

In the video we explain how to design a case that incorporates sectoral specificity.
